Hello readers, i have going through 3 games in August. We are doing really well as i got 3 wins. WOW! Great start as i don't have any injury problem and we are prepared well during the pre-season.
1st Match : vs Shef Utd at Home
Interesting match as we face promotion contender. Shef Utd have several good players especially their striker, Ched Evans. We started well with some nice passing and great movement. We have a goal in 5th minutes. Amr Zaki score from close range after nice passing from Gary O'neil. First debut goal and it looks promising for him. Shed Utd react well from the goal with chances but Campbell and Wheater are hard to beat. But in 27th minutes, a mistake from J.Grounds, to let James Harper to dribble pass him and make a cross. D.Henderson rise high to beat Wheater in the air and heading in the ball. I'll try to play attacking football after that but stubborn Shef Utd backline prevent us from scoring. After half time, i make a subtitution to bring Leroy Lita for Mark Yeates. It worth as gold as Lita score his debut goal from edge of the left box. Nice goal and it is the winning goal. Both clubs create several good chances but nothing turn into a goal. So, we winning our first match.

2nd Match : vs Swansea away at Liberty Stadium
Swansea is not really a tough opponent, but they have 2 dangerous players, Darren Pratley and Ferrie Bodde. I need my two holding midfielder to closing down this players. We start the game with smooth fast passing but can't penetrate Swansea defends until 27th minutes. Mark Yeates play through by J.Walker, cut inside and smash in to score the first goal. Second goal comes from a corner. David Wheater headed in from Yeates corner to double the lead. We take a total control after second goal and no goal added until half time. We start second half with great spirit and Swansea weakness from corner let Sol Campbell to headed in his first ever goal for Middlesbrough. 2 goals from corner. Nice. After that goal, i let Adam Johnson, Gary O'neil and Miles Addison to rest and bring in J.Frans, J.Arca and D.Digard. Those subtitution make an impact to the game as we lost control to the ball. They dominate the game and really look dangerous in attacking. It's show when Leon Britton dribble pass Wheater to score placing shot. Afraid by the comeback of Swansea, i change tactic to contain, drop deeper and hassle opponent. It's pay off as they can't score and C. van der gun add more misery for Swansea with a sent off in 93th minutes. Second win.
Result
3rd Match : vs Scunthorpe away at Glanford Park
A 'must win' match as we face relegation battler. They can't do any damage to my team as in 5th minutes, Gary O'Neil dribbles past 2 players and make a nice placing goal. We double the lead when L.Lita, 1st time to be starter on the field as i rest Amr Zaki, strike the ball to top corner after mistake by Rob Jones. J.Franks, also 1st time started instead of Adam Johnson score his first goal with a tap-in from Yeates' cross. 3rd winning of the season.
Result
We face through 3 game with a vintage performance from the players. Hope they can improve their playing in next games..
